Investment and support from banks, insurance companies, religious investors, foundations and the federal government make it possible for IFF's loan program to grow. Favorable pricing enables IFF to maintain below-market rates. Leadership in research and public policy is funded by foundation and corporate grants.
IFF offers financial partners both a sound investment, high leverage and community impact. Investors in IFF's Loan Program support lending throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin.
New investments include:
- Wachovia NEXT Award for Opportunity Finance: In December of 2008, IFF won a $5 million PRI and $500,000 grant as part of a national award acknowledging IFF's innovative capital financing model and bold strategy to expand its lending services in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin.
- Bank of America: In November of 2008, IFF received an $8 million investment to support lending in targeted communities across IFF's service area.
- The Walton Family Foundation: In December of 2007, IFF received a $5 million PRI for charter school lending, and a $600,000 grant to launch a public policy and real estate services program for choice and charter schools in Milwaukee, and charter schools in St. Louis.
