Matt Roth joined IFF in November 2013 to lead and manage our business units and help with our expansion throughout the entire Midwest. He now leads IFF’s CDFI businesses, overseeing a $570 million managed loan portfolio, New Markets Tax Credit team, and 25+ person real estate consulting practice. Matt also leads IFF’s efforts aligned with our strategic plan to raise an additional $390 million in debt capital.
Before joining IFF, Matt served as president and CEO of Generations Community Bancorp, raising over $1 million in seed capital to launch a bank that would have served African American and economically-distressed communities on Chicago’s South Side. He began his career in 1987 at Harris Bank, where he launched a new business focused on the Latino market across Chicagoland. Roth holds a master’s degree in English literature from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree from the Ross School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan. He is a board member and Treasurer of Neighborhood Housing Services, Chicago, and a board member of the Woodstock institute.
