Home First Acquires and Renovates 70 Cook County Condos for Accessible Living
Illinois Accessible Housing Initiative
Using State of Illinois capital funds, Home First acquired 70 foreclosed condominiums within Chicago and suburban Cook County. These units were renovated to create accessible homes for people leaving nursing homes under the Colbert Consent Decree. Residents are referred by state-contracted agencies, and all units are supported with project based rental assistance.
