A big congratulations to our customer, Chicago Mahogany Foundation, on the purchase of a tour bus that’s going to help social media’s favorite Chicago historian – Shermann “Dilla” Thomas – share his love of the city and its neighborhoods with more people in new and exciting ways! https://lnkd.in/g8uYPPCB
Stay tuned to learn about our 2023 lineup of IFF Propel Coffee & Conversations Events for nonprofit leaders like you! Stop by for 15 minutes or sit and stay a while to talk with IFF about what you need to propel and scale your nonprofit organization. We look forward to meeting you and your peers.
For years, IFF has worked with leaders like Vershawn Sanders-Ward, Karin Norrington-Reeves, Monica Haslip, and others to create safe and inspiring spaces for their nonprofit organizations; see their stories below. But in 2021, IFF took an institutional stance to expand and further our commitment to support Black and Brown neighborhoods in the very place we got started, Chicago. With the support of the Weinberg Foundation, we partnered with Rudd Resources, a Black-led public affairs firm, to develop processes for showing up as a committed, equity-minded partner for nonprofit leaders of color on Chicago’s South and West sides.
If you are among these leaders or know of leaders on the South and West sides of Chicago, we encourage you to join us for our new “Coffee Talk Series” focused on you, your organization, and Chicago’s South and West sides.

Simply said, IFF invests in and helps propel nonprofits. In 2023, we’d like to invite you to join us for coffee and conversation – small virtual and in-person gatherings dedicated to discussing the assets of the South and West side nonprofit communities.
IFF is the nonprofit that helps other nonprofits finance and achieve their facility goals. Simply said, IFF builds to help propel nonprofits. In 2021, we committed to expanding our support of Black and Brown nonprofit leaders on Chicago’s South and West sides.
IFF was honored to have hosted our first community engagement event this spring at the beelove cafe in North Lawndale. The cafe is located within the new corporate home of the North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN), led by CEO Brenda Palms Barber, who IFF Is proud to call a client and friend.
This event was the first in our series of planned events themed “Propel: Conversations about scaling your nonprofit organization.”
If you’re a nonprofit leader interested in attending a future Propel event, IFF would love to have you join us this summer at locations on the South and West sides of Chicago. We are eager to learn what leaders like you — people who lead, inspire, manage, dream, plan and serve — need to grow your organizations and continue making Chicago better.
