IFF recently launched a new interactive schools map to help parents, community leaders, and education stakeholders to determine—on a block-by-block basis—how well Milwaukee schools are serving local school-age children.
This map and its underlying data update IFF’s 2010 report, Choosing Performance. Using updated data from the 2012-2013 school year, and a revised methodology, IFF’s new interactive schools map shows that Milwaukee still needs almost 55,000 seats in performing schools to serves its public school students.
By embedding data on school location, academic performance, and the density of students living in each zip code, IFF’s interactive schools map provides a simple-to-use but powerful tool to determine how well Milwaukee schools are meeting the needs of each neighborhood. Visit the map.
