A national lender plans to pump $1 billion from 2026 to 2030 into nonprofits in the region that includes Kansas and Missouri, an effort that will add to the $76 million it has put to work in Kansas City since arriving about 15 years ago.

Kansas City is headquarters for IFF’s Great Rivers region, which also includes Iowa and Southern Illinois. Managing Director LaMar Miller leads the office. He has been with IFF since 2015 and took his current role in January 2024.

“I started working at the headquarters in Chicago, but our family was growing,” said Miller, who also is director of real estate and senior owner’s representative. “I’m a Mizzou alumni, so we decided to move to Kansas City and raise our kids with all of our friends’ kids.”

That was 2019, when IFF’s Kansas City office had two people. There are eight today.
