Connections for the Homeless: Invitation for Bid for Hilda’s Place Shelter Renovation

Location: Evanston, IL

Grantee will receive $1,750,000.00 in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (“CDBG-CV”) Shelter Construction Grant funds. Grantee will use the funds to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by constructing the rehabilitation of the existing building located at 1450 and 1458 Chicago Avenue, within the corporate limits of the City of Evanston in Cook County, to serve as a homeless shelter to be operated by Hilda’s Place. Rehabilitation construction line-items may include the following: entry vestibule, stair and concrete walkways at north end; new elevator; selective interior demolition, including demolition of some existing rooms; construct new toilet and shower rooms; lower portion of existing slab; new congregate sleeping rooms, lobby, reception, and staff office areas; kitchen renovation; mechanical ventilation; and lighting.

Housing Forward Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Suppression Renovation Project: Invitation for Bid for Contracting Services

Bidders are invited to submit bids for mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression renovation at 211 North Oak Park Avenue at the former Write Inn Hotel in Oak Park, Illinois. The scope is part of a full building renovation done under two separate contracts.

The project includes plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection system rehabilitations or replacements at 211 North Oak Park, which is a former hotel building functioning as a homeless shelter operated by Housing Forward.

Bidders are invited to submit bids for site, building envelope and interior renovation at 211 North Oak Park Avenue at the former Write Inn Hotel in Oak Park, Illinois. The scope is part of a full building renovation done under two separate contracts.

The project includes necessary capital improvements to an existing 1920s building, within the corporate limits of the Village of Oak Park in Cook County, to serve as a homeless shelter to be operated by Housing Forward.
