Lease-to-Own Model Helps Suburban Service Providers Expand Housing Capacity
CILA Lease To Purchase
IFF purchased six homes in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs and fully rehabbed them to serve as accessible six-bedroom group homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Service providers initially leased the buildings from IFF before purchasing them at an affordable price. This structure allowed service providers to grow their housing capacity without taxing their balance sheets.
