Pilot Program Demonstrates New Funding Pathway for Small Community-Based Group Homes
Community Living Initiative
Home First developed and owns 24 units of housing in seven group homes across north suburban Illinois. This pilot program was created to demonstrate new financing models for small community-based supportive living facilities. Service providers lease the buildings from IFF, which serves as owner and asset manager. Rents are scaled based on the State’s CILA operating rates. Each home serves no more than six individuals, and all buildings are fully accessible.
